Arabella is a loveable and curious little girl, busy on life’s journey. In Arabella learns to Meditate, she sees her good friend, Liam, engaged in some strange behaviour in Miss Sparkle’s lounge and is intrigued. Her curiosity takes her on a journey to discover what meditation is about and finds her learning the marvelous practices of meditation, skills which she is hoping to teach her older brother in an attempt to combat their sibling rivalry. The Arabella Series is based on the quote by the Dali Lama “If every eight year old was taught to meditate, we would achieve world peace in one generation” and is written to bring an awareness of energy healing and practices such as meditation to children around the world. It is my vision to create kind and magical role models for children, to light a spark in them that encourages compassion, forgiveness and love.

Jelly bean starts to cry and tells the butterfly she doesn’t feel happy. The butterfly makes Jelly-Bean feel better by telling her it’s okay to be sad sometimes all you have to do is think of things that make you happy. Jelly-Bean remembers happy memories with her family and feels better. The butterfly tells her if she ever needs her to look in the sky and she will be there. Jelly-Bean thanks the butterfly for helping her feel better. Jelly-Bean goes home and hugs her mom.

The walkway is lined with foliage galore, and there you'll find tulips, Russian sage, orange poppies and more! Many years ago the cottage was sold. The woman who'd owned it had gotten too old, to care for the flowers and bushes she'd planted, and the apples that grew were too much to handle. She needed someone who would pull all of the weeds, pick the ripe apples, and tidy the yard; well, what was the problem? That didn't sound hard! There was just one other thing the old woman needed: someone who would treat the creaky, quaint cottage the way it truly deserved to be treated!
