Mina is a half Korean and Half Vietnamese girl who is learning about the Vu Lan Festival that is celebrated on June 15th. She sees her parents setting up an altar and preparing food and learns to make a sweet rice cake with her mother. She is told that the festival is meant to honor parents and ancestors with offerings made at home and at the Vietnamese temple. Her family visits a temple and prays. Afterwards, they light and hang a paper lantern on a tree. The next day the family packs up old clothes and toys to give to their local Vietnamese charity. One day they discovered they were more than that when a person called Phil arrived at their house on the beach. 4. Phil was visiting the tropical island for two months. 5. All of his possessions fitted into the two tubs. 6. When Phil was packing his clothes into the tubs, he was thinking how much stuff he had left behind at home. He was also thinking of little he needed on his visit to the tropical island. 7. Each day as Phil took out something to wear he reflected on what it felt like to live with so little. 8. It felt good. Phil felt free! Life was simple and uncluttered. 9. Little did the tubs know that they had become a symbol of a new way of living for Phil. 10. They had taught Phil a very important lesson, to not collect to much stuff but to live simply.

A family of 5 go on an adventure. They get transported to an enchanted forest. Battle a dragon that, when they win, turns into a baby dragon which they keep as a pet. The family ends up in their backyard around a fire pit. They drink hot coco, roast marshmallows and tell jokes. The baby dragon is with them. It ends with the 5 family members hugging and the baby dragon flying around them protecting them.
