On the starting line were many cars: sporty racers, big trucks, and other homemade ones. Thorn took the wheel, Fluffy sat beside him, and Andryusha was in the back with tools, just in case. The signal sounded, and they sped off! Thorn steered confidently, with Fluffy guiding him and Andryusha ready for anything. The road was tough — tight turns, narrow bridges, and steep hills. At one turn, their car skidded, and a tire burst. They pulled over, and Andryusha quickly replaced the tire with help from his friends. Despite the delay, they pressed on. Soon, they saw Brownie the bear, whose car was stuck in a ditch. Thorn stopped, and they helped push the car out. Brownie was grateful and promised to remember their kindness. On the final stretch, Brownie, moved by their help, let them pass. They crossed the finish line first, greeted by cheers. Winning felt great, but the friends knew that the real victory was in supporting each other and helping others. Their car "Friendship" became a symbol of their strong bond. Sally the Seagull flew through the air and spotted a struggling fish. Sally decided to take a closer look to see if she could help the fish. “Hey fish, what’s got you struggling so?” she asked. “I got caught up” replied the fish. “That fisherman is trying to take me for a ride” the fish continued. Sally looked up and saw the fisherman trying to reel in the fish. Sally thought for a moment, “why don’t you ask him to let you go?” she said. “Well I never thought of that,” remarked the fish. So the fish got up all of its might, jumped out of the water and yelled, “LET ME GO! Please!”, he said please because he was a polite fish after all. The fisherman didn’t move, he just kept trying to reel the fish in. “Well, what did he say?” asked Sally. “He doesn’t speak fish” replied the fish. Sally thought maybe she could try to talk to the fisherman. She flew over to him and said “excuse me, sir, but could you please let my friend the fish go?” But the fisherman only heard “caw, caw, caw caaaw, caw caw.” Sally flew back to the fish. The fish asked, “is he going to let me go?” “No” Sally replied, “he doesn’t speak seagull.” Just then a sea otter swam up, he had heard them talking and was wondering what the commotion was all about. The sea otter asked the fish, “what’s going on over here?”

This is a children's book about a group of 4 best friend ocean explorers who call themselves The Seabirds. They're all girls, ages 6, 10, 10 and 14 and live in a coastal town named Blue Harbor. They love nature and want to protect it, building friendships based on exploration, the ocean, adventures, and asking questions about conservation and pollution of each other.
