This book is about a family of four, a mom, a dad and a girl that is 9 and a boy that is 7. The story starts with the dad asking the kids if they remember the day that he got hurt at work. He is sitting on the couch and the children are sitting next to him. He then explains that he was hurt and ended up with a traumatic brain injury which is just a fancy way of saying his brain got hurt and needed time to heal again. He explains different symptoms to the children and that even though he gets mad and sad at times that it is not their fault. He loves them very much and needs them to be strong for their mom. Together they will all heal in time and he is sorry that it gets confusing at times. But he wants them to know he loves them no matter what happens.

Amused, Jabari chased her, but Lila quickly spotted some bushes and zigzagged to evade him. 6. Jabari miscalculated his jump and got caught in the bushes, allowing Lila to escape. 6. With fear and determination, Lila raced back to her flock, narrowly avoiding Jabari's grasp. 7. Upon reuniting, her friends scolded her for straying, and Lila felt the weight of her recklessness. 8. Ezra, Leo, Mummy and Daddy were having breakfast. Ezra was eating peanut butter on toast with honey. Leo had thrown his food all over the floor. Once he had finished breakfast Ezra jumped up and said "Pirate 3 eyes, Pirate 1 eye, Pirate smelly pants - its time for a pirate adventure". They drove down to the Thames where their pirate ship was moored next to big ben. They got changed into their pirate outfits and set sail. They sailed for many days through all kinds of weather. Then on day 4 Ezra climbed to the very top of the mast, he got out his golden telescope, and peered through it. In the distance he could see another pirate ship heading towards them. He shouted down to Leo, Mummy and Daddy "Watch out - another pirate ship is coming". The family got ready. Daddy put on a suit of armor. Leo pulled down his pants and wiggled his bottom. Mummy got on a horse. And Ezra launched his drone. As the pirate ship approached they could see it had 20 pirates on board. They all had beards and patches on their eyes. They looked scary. They were also drinking a lot of rum so were quite dizzy. The pirate ship got close and closer. When it was very close Ezra shouted "Sink that ship". The family sprang into action. Ezra launched his drone and flew it into the side of the other pirate ship making a big hole in it. Mummy, riding her horse, jumped onto the other pirate ship and knocked lots of the pirates overboard. Daddy, wearing a suit of armor, swam to the other pirate ship, climbed up the side, and smashed down the sails. And Leo carried on wiggling his naked bottom at them. Soon the other pirate ship began to sink. Ezra shouted "Get the treasure". Ezra, Leo, Mummy and Daddy all climbed onto the pirate ship and grabbed all the treasure. They got a huge treasure chest full of diamonds and crystals, gold coins, gold cups, gold plates, necklaces and bracelets. They jumped back on board their own pirate ship as the other pirate ship sank to the bottom of the sea.

The children want to start collecting plastic bottle tops to recycle with Lids4Kids. They meet a nice volunteer who will drive their lids to Canberra for them. Then they send a letter home to their families and ask them to collect plastic bottle tops from milk bottles, pop bottles and water bottles. The children enjoy washing the lids in warm soapy water with their family (and pet dog). Next week all the children bring in a bag of lids each. Together they group the lids into colour groups. The nice volunteer pick them up and takes them to Lids4Kids in Canberra. The lids are then turned into a rainbow colored park bench. The teacher surprises the children by buying the rainbow park bench for their playground.
